MediaJar browser extension · Version 1 · Last updated: October 23, 2026 · Previous versions

In short
  • The extension works on your computer. We don't see which sites you visit or what you download.
  • We don't sell or share your data, show ads, or use analytics or tracking tools.
  • We only receive personal data when you buy Pro (to issue your license) or choose to send us feedback.

1. Who we are

MediaJar is provided by PE Kolesnyk Roman (Roman Kolesnyk), private entrepreneur (FOP), Mykolaivka, Sumy Oblast, Ukraine. Contact: support@mediajar.app.

2. What the extension does on your computer

To show the list of media on a page, the extension looks at the network responses of the tabs you open (for example, a video file or a stream playlist). This list is kept in your browser's temporary memory, is never sent to us and is cleared when you leave the page or close the tab.

When you download something, the file is fetched directly from the website that hosts it and processed (joined, converted to another container, saved) inside your browser. No file passes through our servers.

3. What we do not collect

We do not collect, store or receive your browsing history, page addresses, the media you find or download, file names, your folders or any page content.

4. Data stored only on your device

If Chrome sync is turned on, Chrome copies the license key and trial date to your other computers signed in to the same Google account. This is handled by Google under Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Network requests the extension makes

6. Purchases

Orders are processed by Paddle.com, our online reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles your payment details under its own Privacy Notice; we never see or store your card details. From the order we receive your name, email address, country and order details. We use them to issue and send your license key, to provide support, and to meet our accounting and tax obligations, including EU VAT records, which must be kept for 10 years.

7. Feedback

If you choose to fill in the feedback form, your answer and the details listed in section 5 are sent to our own form handler on mediajar.app, hosted by Cloudflare.

7a. This website

The website mediajar.app is hosted by Cloudflare. It sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or advertising tools. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks. When you open the checkout, Paddle's payment window loads from Paddle's servers.

8. Sharing and sale

We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for advertising, profiling or any purpose other than the services described above (payment processing, form handling and website hosting), which act on our behalf. We may disclose data if required by law.

The use of information received by this extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

9. How long we keep data

Purchase records: as long as required by tax law (up to 10 years). License information: while your license is valid and for support afterwards. Feedback: up to 24 months.

10. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete it (except records we must keep by law). If you are in the EU/EEA, you can also object to processing and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Write to support@mediajar.app.

11. Children

The extension is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

12. If the business changes hands

If MediaJar is sold or transferred to another company or person, purchase and license records may be transferred to the new owner only to keep your license working and to provide support. The new owner must follow this policy. We will announce the change in the extension and on this page at least 30 days before the transfer, and you can ask us to delete your data before it happens (except records we must keep by law).

13. Changes to this policy

Each version of this policy has a number and a date. Minor edits, such as new contact details or clearer wording, take effect when published.

For material changes, such as a new type of data, a new service that receives data or a new purpose, we will:
